Artist Alley
The Artists Area will contain tables for artists of all mediums, whether they work in illustration, painting, comics, fiber arts, sculpture, or beyond. The mediums will not be segregated as in previous years, and the rules for table content will be uniform among all artists. Along with Artist tables, the AA will also be home to Club tables, Artist Guest tables, and the Art Show.
Art Show
The Katsucon Art Show is a showcase for two dimensional and three dimensional anime-oriented works by professional and amateur artists. For attendees, it provides an opportunity to see the artwork up close. For artists, it provides an opportunity for self-promotion and sales of artwork through the Katsucon Art Auction.
Yes, some of the artwork on display will be for sale! We have an on-going art auction that lasts the whole weekend where attendees can bid on artwork that is for sale, in hope of being the high bidder and taking the artwork home. Any piece of artwork with four bids at the time that the Art Show closes on Saturday will go to the “Live Auction” Saturday night following the Cosplay. Any piece with one, two, or three bids is sold to the high bidder at the bid price Saturday evening or Sunday morning.
Manga Library
Looking for a place to sit down and relax in between events? Have a manga that you’ve been meaning to read? Then look no further than the Manga Library, proudly presented by AnimeNEXT. Enjoy reading one of a multitude of volumes of manga available in the tranquil atmosphere provided by the Manga Library. Librarians will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.

Video Gaming
With your Katsucon badge you gain access to unlimited console gaming hosted by the Nexus Gaming Alliance (NGA). In the Nexus Gaming Arena players of all ages and skill levels gather in celebration of intense console gaming action. Come stop by for a quick game between events, or stay for the whole show and step your game to the next level. Also for 2012, Nexus Gaming Alliance has put together a spot for Import Gaming, Bring Your own Set-up and DS section.
