Panelist Badge and Registration Information

This page includes information regarding Panelist Badges and how to get a Panelist Badge if you are running panels or workshops at Katsucon.

If you are planning to run a panel or event at Katsucon 2019 and your panel or workshop is accepted, then you will qualify to receive a Panelist Badge for free. There is a maximum of four (4) panelists that qualify to receive a Panelist Badge for each panel.

Panelist Registration Overview

Panelists must have a Katsucon 2019 badge in order to run a panel for the convention. Once the Live Programming department confirms a panel is accepted, we will provide Panelist Registration information by email. Panelist Badges for 2019 are FREE but we still need all Panelists to register through Eventbrite. This registration will count as acceptance to run your panel for the convention.

Once you arrive at the convention you will pick-up your badge at Panelist Registration.

HOURS OF OPERATION:
Thursday 2/14: 8:00 pm – 12:00 am
Friday 2/15: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
Saturday 2/16: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
Sunday 2/17: CLOSED

Note that the location and hours of operation are subject to change prior to the convention. If you arrive after Panelist Registration is closed go to Azalea 2 and someone will assist you.

Upon your arrival at Katsucon 2019, you will be issued a personal badge that must be worn at all times in order to gain entry to run your Panel, and entry to the other convention events, activities, and convention spaces such as the video rooms or the merchant room. When picking up your badge, you must present a valid, government issued, photo identification containing your birthdate. Acceptable forms of identification include: driver’s license, state-issued photo ID, US Government or Military ID card, US or foreign passport. Other identity documents may or may not be accepted at the discretion of our Live Programming department (school identification cards will only be accepted as specified on the main Registration page).

  • Cancellations
    Any cancellations must be made prior to January 15th, 2019. If you cancel a panel and you have already registered for a Panelist Badge you will need to cancel the Eventbrite registration.
  • No Shows
    Any panelist that does not show up to run their panel may not be considered to run panels in the future.
  • Age Restrictions
    If you will be under age 18 at the time of the convention pay close attention to the rules regarding other identification documents and PARENTAL PERMISSION forms required. This information is specified on the main Registration page.
