4th Annual Katsucon Pokémon Game Show
Calling all trainers of all ages!! Do you have what it takes to earn the title of Pokémon Master? Then test your knowledge and luck at the 4th Annual Katsucon Pokémon Game Show for the chance to battle other trainers in games that cover the entire 21-year history of Pokémon, from the games to the anime and beyond!

Chibi Karaoke Sing-Along
A sing-along style event with family-friendly music, this karaoke event is perfect for all ages.

Cinderella’s Story Time
Come join Cinderella, and her other fairy tale friends, for a story filled adventure! You never know who might visit!

Inspirational/Uplifting Moments in Anime
Ever watch an anime and thought “Wow, I never thought of it like that.” Or “Wow, that was inspiring!”? Well this panel features a bunch of those kinds of moments from various different types of anime. There will also be a brief Q&A session towards the end of the panel.

Wild Pokémon Portraits
Wild Pokémon portraits is a Chibi-Katsu sponsored event at Katsucon where you the attendee have the chance to test out your photography skills by taking pictures of wile Pokémon. While there may be no real Pokémon at Katsucon, there are plenty of Pokémon cosplayers. Your challenge is to go out and grab the best pictures you can of attendees in Pokémon cosplay and submit your best to our panel of professors to judge them in our Sunday panel.

Rules and Information:

  • Before taking pictures of your subjects please ask for their permission(s) to take their photo and to use it in Wild Pokémon Portraits, and have them strike a pose.
  • Pictures will be judged on 4 categories with a score from 1-10:
    • Composition
    • Camera skills
    • Pokémon rarity
    • Creativity
  • There will be three age categories: 12 and under, 13-17, and 18+ years old
  • Each participant will be allowed to submit up to 5 photographs for the contest
  • Submissions must be made in person at the Chibi-Katsu office
  • During the Sunday panel the judges go through the submissions and give out their scores
  • All submissions will need to be made by 9PM Saturday to the Chibi Katsu office
  • We will try to judge and present the maximum number of entries, but in case there are more submission than we can go through we will try and judge at least one entry per person starting with the lowest age group

 

Katsu-Con Gym Challenge
Calling all trainers! Do you have what it takes to be a Poké Champion? If so bring your best team to the Katsu-Con Gym Challenge to battle against our 8 gym leaders to earn custom badges with special prizes for those who can earn all 8. Battles will be done in the new Sun and Moon versions of the game, check out the Chibi Katsu webpage for details.

KATSU GYM CHALLENGE RULES

Alola to Alola!
By now you may have heard that the professor wants to set up a Pokémon league in the region. You can’t have a Pokémon league without gym leaders.
The trial captains have talked it over and today we introduce a brand new evolution to Alola’s trial captains, the trial gym leaders! (Or trial leaders for short)
Each match will pit you against our finest opponents from the island. Do you have what it takes to be Alola’s next Champion?

==Table Rules====================================
♦ Rising Stars 12 and younger get priority at any gym table.
♦ Foul Play, Name Calling or Swearing at opponents will get you banned from play and removed from Chibi Katsu. Don’t do it.
♦ Be ready to fight your trial leader. You will be skipped if not ready when the challenge starts and be forced to wait from the beginning of the line.
♦ Trial leader may post additional rules, please pay careful attention.
♦ A trial leader has discretion to remove any trainer they see break a rule.

==Game Rules====================================
♦ Sun and Moon cartridges only. However, all available Pokémon that are not on the ban list are allowed.
♦ Don’t worry about levels, the game automatically levels you and the trial leader to Level 50 for fairness, your Pokémon and any items they use in battle return to normal after a match.
♦ Items from your bag cannot be used.
♦ 10-minutes per battle. If time expires, the battle will be played out 3 more turns. Whoever has more Pokémon or hit points wins.
♦ Ultra-Beasts allowed
♦ Items and Z-Crystals are allowed, but Trainers may not have duplicate items in their Battle Team.
♦ No hacked Pokémon

Miraculous Ladybug is a magical girl-superhero cartoon that takes place in Paris. Join the Ladybug to learn the lingo that the characters would actually be using, plus tips and relevant vocabulary if you plan on watching the show in French for season 2!

Let’s Fresh Precure: The Pretty Cure/Glitter Force Panel
Do you want more magical girls in your life? We have just what you need! Pretty Cure has been a staple of Japanese television! For over a decade it has aired on Sunday mornings along Super Sentai and Kamen Rider to the delight of Japanese children. Western audiences can experience this now too with Glitter Force on Netflix! Join us in celebrating everything Pretty Cure! From anime, to toys and much more!

Make a Plushie
Would you like to know how to make a basic plushie doll? Then this is the panel for you! You can come and make a plushie: no sewing skills necessary. Supplies will be provided, so come and enjoy! The panel runs multiple times during the weekend, so please check the schedule for exact times and location.

Make Your Own Kandi Bracelet
Do you love all those cute pony bead bracelets that you see everybody wearing? Would you like to make your own? Then this is the panel for you! The panel runs multiple times during the weekend, so please check the schedule for exact times and location.

Mold Making and Materials
Jay and Barb of Mabie Knot Designs & Cosplay will discuss the various ways to use several different materials you can use for mold making and casting. There is also a demonstration on how to use silicone and resin with professional materials.

Pokémon Yoga
Charmanders are red, Squirtles are blue, Jigglypuffs are pretty but we all want a Pikachu! That’s right! This Pokémon Adventure will evolve your kids from little yogi’s to Pokémon Masters! Using yoga, meditation, games and more your Pokémon hunters will explore different lands and gain knowledge and badges about different Pokémon while trying to catch them all! No yoga mat required. Cardcaptor Sakura may be about how an elementary school girl masters a magical tarot deck on its surface, but the heart of the story is a tale of love conquering all – even though CLAMP doesn’t always succeed in its portrayal. Join us for an in-depth discussion about the central theme of love in CCS: how Syaoran’s love for Sakura transforms him from the inside-out, how Yukito is literally rescued from death by love, the tragic one-sided love of Tomoyo for Sakura, and as a bonus, how these themes are carrying over to the brand new Clear Card Arc.
